July 23rd, 2025 - PA.II |Pea-Ayy-The-Second| is making waves in the Canadian music scene with his authentic blend of Afrobeats, R&B, dancehall and pop elements. With a rich cultural heritage and musical influences that span continents, PA.II's sound is a refreshing addition to the Canadian music landscape and aims to prove that with his project, “ILLAH: Eviction Notice” scheduled to be released later this year. The third single, Jukebox was written and recorded in Sudbury Ontario with the help of lead singers (Peter Dreimanis and Leah Fay Goldstein) of Juno Award winning band, July Talk as part of a CION’s songwriting camp - Northern Ontario Songwriting Experience (NOSE).

PA.II throws it back with a retro 80s rock style beat and baseline reminiscent of A-ha’s “Take on me”, paired with razor-sharp lyrics and vibrant melodies - This track is guaranteed a summer anthem in the making, blending nostalgic sounds, reminiscent of iconic summer jams from the 80s and pitch perfect pop styled delivery on the hook. With guitar riffs by Co-producer Peter Dreimanis tying it all together but not before PA.II and Leah Fay Goldstein laid down a second verse.

“When I made this track, I started out with the intention of challenging myself and blending my style with a genre that was foreign to me from a production standpoint and Jukebox literally fell into my lap. Like a gift from the heavens, I was able to tap into a part of myself I had never met. Such an exhilarating experience. So when the opportunity for mentorship came through CION (Cultural Industries Ontario North) to work with Peter and Leah from July Talk, I just knew this track had to be explored further and I’m glad we did it.”
