These are 7 lessons we’ve learned since starting a social project:
1. Impact is qualitative often more than it is quantitative
2. Physical activity has mental and physical health benefits
3. There’s no successful social project without community buy-in
4. Adaptability and flexibility are non-negotiable
5. Financial strategy may be the key to keeping your project operational and sustainable.
6. Evaluate often and effectively, use feedback to propel you forward.
7. Creativity will help you get over most hurdles. Think outside the box- live outside the box. Innovation starts there.
As Nyama Nyama Cup returns for its third edition, reflecting on these lessons have been instrumental in succession planning and process optimization.
